The Denver campus is in the heart of the lively lower downtown district — the 24,000 square foot main campus is located at 1401 19th Street, at the corner of Market Street. DCN also has an annex located two blocks south of the main building at 1875 Lawrence Street.
The Houston campus is located in the vibrant energy corridor of Houston, Texas, at 1155 Dairy Ashford Road, Suite 310. The campus is close to major highways with access to public transportation.
Clinical service hours occur at facilities around the Denver and Houston metropolitan areas.
Our Facilities
Our Denver and Houston campuses are equipped with high-speed internet access, computer workstations, printers, web-based resources, reference books, and periodicals. Nursing labs are equipped with microscopes, stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, EKG machines, surgical instruments, patient hospital beds, and injection arms/skins.
Wireless internet access is provided throughout the college for student use and testing. The lecture rooms have internet connectivity, instructional podiums, projectors, and in-wall speakers to enhance lectures with access to specialized medical and educational websites and web-based materials.
Our student lounges, with vending machines and microwaves, are home to many Student Nurse Association events. Administrative offices include student services, financial aid, registrar, and admissions departments.
Our Simulation Labs
Denver College of Nursing’s simulation labs allow nursing students on our Denver and Houston campuses to practice clinical skills with high-fidelity simulation models, medication administration equipment, modern supplies, and electronic medical record software.
The Denver simulation lab accommodates a group of nursing students in each of the four patient rooms. There are three medical-surgical rooms, one of which includes Victoria™, the only obstetric-gynecological high-fidelity robotic manikin in a nursing college in Colorado. Additional medical-surgical rooms include IStan™ and MetiMan™ high-fidelity manikins, which offer numerous scenarios for simulation. The pediatric room features infant and child manikins.
